Catherine Smart, Senior Researcher and Anthropologist.
Catherine is our expert in qualitative research and ethnography. She graduated from the University of Durham with a BA in Anthropology and has worked at Platypus since then.
She is a qualitative specialist and has worked on many projects with children, young people and their parents from diverse backgrounds spending time in homes, schools, universities, youth groups and online.
With her BA in Anthropology, work in research, and MA in Acting, Catherine’s life is centered around understanding people, their behaviours and what motivates them. She is passionate about providing deeper insight and targeted recommendations for how brands and organisations can become more inclusive for those with SEN, ethnic minority groups and those living in low-income households.
Outside of research, Catherine loves exploring new places, music, and watching theatre shows (when she's not performing in them!)
We are Child, Youth and Family Research Experts who are passionate about making a difference. Created in 2005, we are a highly experienced team with a combined knowledge of social, psychological and commercial worlds.
