The Question

As a leading brand for new moms, how can our client evolve with the market’s changing social factors and consumer attitudes? ​

The Approach

We conducted exploratory research via an online forum with 24 new moms to provide in the moment context by understanding their pumping journey and experiences, combined with concept testing via pre-task review and online groups to provide detailed evaluation of appeal, success and improvements.

The Outcome

Real life, granular detail of the breast pump usage experience, including routines and behaviours to get an honest, in-the-moment sense of the challenges and needs of new moms. As well as identification of appeal, strengths, and weakness of each new concept with recommendations of how to develop the optimum product, based on opinions of new moms and insights discovered from their pumping experience.
