What is the appeal, playability, and collectibility of new product ideas for a collectible franchise?
Research was needed to test all elements of the franchises with parents and children to inform the direction and launch strategy.
Platypus conducted ‘Family Play Workshops’ with parents and children aged 4-7 years and ‘Kids Play Workshops’ with children aged 6-9 years. We explored ‘play’ and ‘imagination’ via a mix of structured and semi-structured tasks, that gave children a chance to be expressive and provide honest feedback in a fun and inclusive environment.
This research gave our client the confidence to progress with their launch of these new collectibles.
