Platypus Research are delighted to welcome Karen Chaudhari, a dedicated and highly experienced insights professional, to our team.

The sport-loving, high heel-wearing mum, who enjoys spending time with her family and travelling the world, will hit the ground running as she joins Platypus this month in her new position as Associate Director. Karen will be responsible for leading research projects, developing approaches and techniques and implementing business development strategies, drawing on her previous experience in both the ‘Business-to-Business’ and ‘Business-to-Consumer’ markets and her marketing knowledge (CIM qualified).

Karen

Before joining Platypus, Karen worked as Consumer Insights Manager where she headed up Hallmark’s Family Consumer Closeness research programme, aimed at gaining better understanding of the day-to-day lives of consumers and understand their relationships with friends and family, which will provide invaluable experience into the markets Platypus specialise in.

Karen has a passion for learning what makes people ‘tick’  and brings with her experience of the "client" perspective to Platypus. Naturally curious, Karen strives to understand the challenges brands in the family market are facing and ensure insights are used to help these brands evolve and reach their full potential (via collaborative working partnerships).

Managing Director Joanne Cliff said; “We are delighted to have Karen join us as Associate Director and are positive she is going to be a prized asset to the business, bringing with her vast client-side research experience and a genuine passion for kids and family research.”

Joanne concluded; “Since I founded Platypus on my own in 2007, the company has grown every year. Platypus was set up to ensure brands and organisations are designing successful products, and communications based on what children and families really want and need. Our client’s feedback and successes shows we are getting it right which is great news for businesses, Platypus and most importantly, kids and families.”
