6 Reasons to use Play in Research Sessions...

Posted by on in Research News

At Platypus we conduct a lot of research with children of different ages. We have found that the best approach is to fit the research around different play activities. Posted by on in About Us

The majority of research we do here at Platypus is with mums and kids. Of the two, mums are the group that are much more difficult to understand. Children (especially the younger ones) generally haven’t learnt to disguise their true feelings and are relatively unaware of the social norms which govern expected responses and behaviour. So when you ask a child what they did at the weekend they’re quite happy to tell you they watched TV all day or that they like Tom and Jerry because they like it when Tom runs into a wall, or to describe their dad as someone who trumps a lot.
